Blue Drift
Blue Drift moves in the opposite direction of heaviness. Where deep blues once held storms, shadows, and the weight of memory, this new series opens into light—water meeting sky in soft gradients, sun lifting through morning, and bright summer yellows playing across the surface of the lake. These works don’t linger only in quiet tones; they also celebrate the joy and playfulness of warm days, where colour dances, waves shimmer, and movement replaces stillness.
These pieces explore the lake in its many gentle moods: pale horizons dissolving into open sky, sails gliding without effort, birds rising freely above the water, and sunlight tipping everything toward brightness. Each work is an invitation to breathe deeper, to feel both calm and uplift, and to drift with the ease and brightness of summer on the lake.
Blue Drift is not about escape. It is about arriving—into ease, into openness, into the yellows and blues of long summer days, where the world feels wide, inviting, and full of light again.
Sailing into Light lives as a sub‑series within Blue Drift, capturing those luminous moments when sails, summer light, and open water come together.
